So Much Happening

I am determined to write in here more. I have just been so busy with the holidays, I couldnt keep up.

Anyway...lets see how well I can keep up. My goal is to write several times a week :)

CAYDENCE:
She starts back at school on Monday, the 10th. She's very excited! I cant believe her Kindergarten year is nearing an end and my girl will be in the first grade before I know it. She has been such a wonderful help to me with her brother and sister. And she has been working hard with her sister with language skills. Honestly, I dont know what I'd do without her. She's amazing. She had a well check up with her new doctor. Currently she is 40lbs and 43".

LANDEN:
My little boy is almost 5 months old now (on the 19th). He amazes me every day. He has found his feet and loves to play with them which I think it so cute. He is the happiest baby... hardly ever fusses... but he loves to be talked too... ALL the time. At his last check up, he was 13lbs 2oz 21". He is doing great. Trying to sit up on his own, has rolled over a few times from back to belly and he doesnt mind tummy time.

SERENITY:
Where do I start? I am very overwhelmed to be honest. Renny is wonderful and amazing. My girl has a long, rough road ahead of her. She started Speech Therapy in-home via Inland Regional Center... so every Monday and Wednesday she gets 1 hour with her therapist. She's doing good -at least I think so... she is not very clear but she tries... and to me that counts for a lot. She will also be starting Speech Therapy through Kaiser on the 19th.

On the 10th of this month, she goes to ENT to battle a severe sinus infection she has had for over a month that, despite everything we have tried, will not let up and go away. We will also discuss why she keeps choking on food/drink.

On the 18th she will go to Neurology for a second opinion on Cerebral Palsy. If she does not have CP, we will hopefully find out WHAT is going on. She does have Hypotonia and a coordination disorder... but that is as far as we have got.

On the 31st she will start Physical Therapy again and possibly Occupational Therapy as well. And on the 3rd of next month, she goes to Surgery to have a hernia she has above her belly button looked at.

ME:
I have been holding up okay. Despite always being busy with my kids and their constant appointments, I am finding time to do things I enjoy also. I have too. Maybe it's selfish... I dont know... but I have to do something to keep myself sane.

My car show season starts up February 6th with my first show being in San Marcos. Dalton's Car Show. It's a monthly show... first Sunday of every month. The San Diego Chapter of my car club, Rebel Stangs, shows up every month, so my chapter will be showing up too. I merged my car club with Rebel Stangs this month and became Chapter President for the High Desert Chapter. It was a great move and I love my RSC Crew in all chapters: High Desert, San Diego, Los Angeles, and Inland Empire. Great group of people!

My cousin will be hitting up the Saturday car shows with me this year, so I wont be alone. Yay! Hoping to add a few new things to my Mustang soon. Going to be selling off my headlights so I can buy new ones... I want to get smoked stock headlights and smoked fog lights. If I can sell my headlights, I will be able to turn around and buy the headlight + fog light set. Also planning on a Mach 1 Chin Spoiler and Upper/Lower/Hood Scoop Billet Grille with Pony Cutout. Then I'll be working under the hood... wont be completely done on the exterior (plan on getting GT side scoops), but close enough. Hope to have enough done by Mustangs at the Queen Mary 15.

Anyway, aside from car shows... I am dealing with a lot of back pain since having Landen. I was also diagnosed with Diabetes (with Hypoglycemia) and I SUCK at controlling it...but I am slowly getting better about it.

I am looking into going back to college soon to finish up and transfer. I have been very depressed over not being in school. I'm a nerd. I love school and I miss my major more then anyone would realize. I am an Anthropology major if you are wondering. I want to transfer out so I can get involved in Museum Studies. I would be so beyond happy if I could work behind the scenes in a museum. I have experience... worked behind the scenes in the Anthro Department at The San Bernardino County Museum. Lord knows, I'd love to go back and work there again. I miss it so much I can hardly stand it. My passion for Anthropology and Archaeology is stronger then ever.

We are also looking into a second car that I can drive up and down the hill so I dont have to drive the Mustang and put miles on her. My Mustang is a daily driver and show car... so it's rough. I think we will try to get a 1999-2002 Mercury Cougar. Yes, a small coupe. I'm VERY picky. They are pretty good on gas and a hatchback, so that works well for my husband who has two jobs, one in which the hatchback will come in handy for his gardening tools. The days I will need the Cougar, he will take the Mustang to work. ...If we cant find a Cougar, we are looking into another Thunderbird....1996 or so like the one we used to have. Either way, we know either of these cars will work great for us and what we need it for so it's all good.
